Train & Engine Expenses and Accuracy in Pay Project Team

Our project followed established CSX methods of Six Sigma and the DMAIC discipline to find solutions. Our project had two goals: efficiency, through reduction in operating expenses; and effectiveness, paying our value-added employees consistent with our contract provisions. We reduced expenses by $1.4 million and a specific category of claims by 40%.
