The Public Area Cleanliness Index and Assessment program was created to improve cleanliness of public areas by objectively identifying underperforming locations, etc. Root causes include lack of late night coverage, infrequent cleaning, garbage around dumpsters, and flyers from the entertainment industry. As a result, action plans have been developed and implemented.
