The Samurai Spirits Team conducted a series of rapid improvement events to eliminate waste from their heat exchanger process using lean methods and various other improvement tools. The team’s goal was to reduce process time by 50 percent and establish a new business flow. As a result, the team was able to reduce preparation time by more than 800 man-hours per year and industrial wastes by 50 percent.
