The BP production target of P2O5 for the year 2006-07 was 193,786 MT considering 97.5% recovery. The recovery of when the project is launched is 96.81%. The opportunity loss was 1,371 MT of P2O5 due to less recovery. Various tools used: Scatter diagram, Pareto analysis, regression, brainstorming, ect. Results: Improvement in the recovery to 97.6%, increased customer satisfaction, reduction in the lime consumption, increase in plant utilization, hygiene improvement. Savings: $240,000.
