Alcoa, Inc. — Controlling Surface Roughness Using Visual Process Management

Type of Team: Process Control/Process Improvement

Visual process management was rapidly deployed by operators to control surface roughness of aluminum sheets. Reduced variability eliminated customer returns and increased throughput, helping to set production records and significantly reducing cost for the team’s plant.
